Recovery

In December 2007, the CSIP NW Development Centre invited Dr Antonio Olmos-Gallo and Mr Roy Starks from the Mental Health Centre, Denver, Colorado, to attend and present at the final Regional Learning Event of the NW ‘Routine Outcomes Collaborative’ (R.O.C.) programme.

During their stay, they kindly agreed to participate in a filmed interview that focussed on unpacking and exploring the concept of ‘recovery’ from a number of differing perspectives. They were joined by Dr Paul French and 2 members of the NW ‘Relating Outcomes to Lived Experience’ (R.O.L.E.) Group: Tim Rawcliffe and Ann Broadhurst. Ann and Tim have been working with the R.O.C. programme for the last 18 months.

What unfolded amounts to a fascinating discussion on a range of critical issues in relation to the concept and construct of the term ‘recovery’.This edited version of the interview film last for approximately 55 minutes and can be accessed by clicking on the arrow below the image.
